Properties about to go to repossession
These properties are often the lowest priced as the owners usually will not make any money at all and the asking price is often just the value of the mortgage. If the owner has been in possession of the property for a number of years the asking price will be well under the actual value of the property. Often the owners have been warned by the mortgage lender that they will lose their home within a certain amount of time, so it is important that the buyers of these properties are serious and in a position to buy.  It is often possible to take over the mortgage of the owner, this can only be done with the agreement of the bank and the sale would go through as normal at the notary.

 

Bank Repossession
